Passport Renewal Or Extension

    ​​You will need to apply for a new passport if one of the following applies:
    1. You have an Israeli Passport that was issued 10 years ago (5 years for minors).

    2. You are an Israeli citizen and you don't have an Israeli Passport. (If the passport is for a new child born outside of Israel, please note you have to register this child as an Israeli citizen before  issuing a passport.)

    3. You have an Israeli Passport and its pages are full (with visas, stamps, etc).

    4. You have an Israeli Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport that was issued 5 years ago.

    5. You had an Israeli Passport or an Israeli Travel Document and it was lost / stolen / damaged.

  • An Israeli citizen must travel to and from Israel with an Israeli travel document.

     **** Important notice: the lifetime of the temporary passport (non-biometric passport) is 5 years, and not 10 years as it used to be, this is due to the new passport law in Israel.

    Adults

     

    To renew a passport, you must bring to the mission the following:
     
    ·         Application for a New Passport filled out and signed (click here to download the Application for a New Passport)
    ·         Two passport photos 5X5 cm - bright or white background required
    ·         Your current passport 
    ·         The required fee
     
    Minors
    Please call the Consular Department at the mission to obtain information on the conditions for issuing travel documents to a minor.

    Renewing the travel document in the event of loss / theft / destruction
     
    In the event of the loss / theft / destruction of a travel document, you must visit the mission in order to obtain a replacement. Please be sure to bring the following:

     

    ·       Two passport photos 5X5 cm - bright or white background required
    ·       A picture ID (identity card or Israeli driver's license)
    ·       A completed declaration form about the loss / theft / destruction of a passport or laissez-passer (click here to download the form Declaration of the Loss / Theft / Destruction of a Passport or Laissez Passer​). The form must be signed in the presence of the diplomatic / consular representative.
    ·     The Israeli passport is the property of the State. The loss / theft / destruction of the passport requires the payment of a higher fee
  • Extending Israeli passports or travel documents

    You should extend the validity of your passport if one of the following applies:

    1. You have an expired Israeli Passport that was issued less than 10 years ago (5 years for minors).

    2. You have an Israeli Travel Document in lieu of a National Passport that was issued less than 5 years ago

    Requirements:

    1. Application form to extend or make changes in Passport / Travel Document

    2. You must submit the application together with the Travel Document for processing
