The MOFET Institute's
Online Academy is offering scholarships to educational institutions all over the world. Many educators from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa have already been awarded study grants and are participating in the Institute's online courses. Some of these educators have elected to continue studying in this framework.
First of all, some information about The MOFET Institute:
The MOFET Institute, which is celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, is a non-profit organization that was founded by the Israeli Ministry of Education. Its purpose is the improvement of teaching and the professional development of those who are engaged in preparing teachers in Israel. The Institute serves all of the faculties of the colleges of education in every sector: Jewish and Arab, secular and religious. It convenes forums in many different areas of education, and its teams are involved in the preparation of working papers for the decision makers at the Ministry of Education and in the institutions of teacher education.
The Institute boasts a research authority, a school for professional training, a resource center, a research and development center for technology and innovation, a publishing house, and an international channel.
The MOFET Institute's Online Academy operates in the framework of the Institute's
International Channel, which offers a range of international programs in the areas of education, teaching, and teacher education. The Academy's courses are intended for the teaching staff of both formal and informal institutions of education and at all levels of the education system – lecturers, teachers and teacher educators, instructors and educational leaders, policy makers and curriculum developers, and so on.
While most of the courses are taught in English, a few are taught in Spanish. The courses in the fields of, "Teaching Hebrew as an Additional Language" and "Teaching Arabic", are taught in those languages, respectively.
As we approach the beginning of the first semester of 2016 (February–June, 2016), we are delighted to present the range of courses offered to the international education community:

Study grants for the Academy's courses
Heads of educational institutions or organizations, who are keen for their staff to study in our online courses are invited to complete the
Grant Application Form and submit it to us. Since the grants are institutional, every head of an institution may recommend one candidate per field as listed above (a maximum of five grants).
MOFET also offers discounts for groups that register from the same institution.
The courses are semestrial and conform to academic standards. Upon completion of a single course with all of its study requirements, written confirmation is granted. Upon completion of a full program (eight courses), a certificate of specialization in the didactics of teaching the particular field is awarded.
The studies and the certificates are recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Education.
Additional events
I would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to two additional frameworks of activity that may be of interest to you:
Free webinars. International online sessions for colleagues all over the world. The webinars are held approximately once a month and are open to all stakeholders. While most of the webinars are held in English, a small number are held in other languages. To view the list of webinars planned for this year and to register to receive instructions for entry,

We would greatly appreciate your spreading the word about the scholarships among relevant educational institutions in the countries where you serve. Furthermore, we would be most grateful if you could send us lists of institutions with which you are in contact so that we can contact them directly.
If you wish to receive further details, please contact me or Dr. Arye Ben Chayim, who heads the Online Academy (aryebh@macam.ac.il).
We recommend that you have the representatives of the institutions contact us in order to receive further details.
