Israel remains committed to fight against Ebola

    Israel transferred the sum of $10 million to the United Nations Mission for Ebola Emergency Response, reflecting Israel's continuing commitment to aid the African countries in confronting this devestating epidemic.

    On the initiative of Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, the sum of $10 million was transferred to the  United Nations Mission for Ebola Emergency Response on December 11, 2014.

    The Israeli contribution reflects Israel's continuing commitment to aid the African countries in confronting this devestating epidemic. This financial aid, in addition to the three field hospitals and medical experts sent by Israel to Africa, places Israel in a reputable position in the global aid effort. Israel will continue to extend aid as needed.
