    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman met today (9 October 2012) with Romanian Foreign Minister Titus Corlăţean at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem.
     
    At the meeting, FM Liberman condemned the attack yesterday on the Romanian Orthodox Church in Jerusalem and conveyed the Israeli government’s regret over the incident. FM Liberman said that the vandals belonged to an extremist fringe that has attacked places of importance and special sensitivity also to the Jews, such as the attack a few months ago on Yad Vashem. FM Liberman added that the Israel police and other enforcement bodies are doing their utmost to apprehend the vandals and bring them to justice.
     
    Ministers Liberman and Corlăţean discussed bilateral issues, ways to strengthen cooperation between Israel and Romania is various areas, current issues on the agenda of Israel and the European Union, and regional developments.
