FM Liberman meets with Ukraine FM Klimkin

    Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, on an official visit to Ukraine, met on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in Kiev with Pavlo Klimkin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. During their meeting, the foreign ministers signed a document approving the plan for consultations of their respective ministries on issues of mutual interest.

    Foreign Minister Liberman noted that Israel views as very important the agenda for meetings of committees on trade, culture, the private sector, and the work of Jewish organizations in Ukraine.

    Foreign Minister Klimkin said that, for Ukraine, a key aspect of the negotiations was the revival of the process to prepare an agreement on the establishment of a free trade zone between the two countries. He also thanked Israel for its help in providing medical treatment for the Ukrainian military wounded.
