Linor Abargil, Miss Israel and Miss World 1998 came to Bucharest on May 18, 2015, to speak about her story and the phenomenon of sexual violence against women.
Linor Abargil, who became Miss World at just 18 years old, was a victim of sexual violence just six weeks before the competition. However, having a very strong personality, Linor continued her careers and became an activist against sexual violence. A decade later, she decided to transpose her experience in a documentary film aimed at encouraging women around the world in similar situations.
At the invitation of the Israeli Embassy in Romania and Scheherazade Foundation, Linor held a press conference and participated in a special event which marked the screening for the first time in Romania of the Brave Miss World film, which shows her emotional and spiritual journey.
The event was organized under the patronage of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania and with the support of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Protection.
