This morning, Mr. Avshalom Komissar, Head of the Democratic School of Hadera in Israel gave a lecture on what the democratic school was and how the school would give pupils freedom of choice in learning.

The Democratic School strengthens the ability of pupils to act as “active citizens” in their communities, countries, and across the world.  It also helps build the active citizenship skills needed to solve world issues such as sustainable economic development, poverty, gender equality, the environment and global peace and justice.

“School Management for Active Citizens” workshop will continue this afternoon at Nanmeebooks House.
