Thailand-Israel Greenhouse @ Hubkapong

    ​Over 50 years ago, HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej initiated the Cooperative Demonstration Centre in Hubkapong. This initiative also included the support of Israeli experts, who helped local farmers overcome agricultural difficulties, and led to the creation of the demonstration village - “Thai-Israel Rural Development Project”.

    On the occasion of the 60thanniversary of Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV), the second demonstration unit was officially opened this morning by H.E Mr. Gil Haskel, Deputy Director General, Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of MASHAV, and H.E. Dr. Meir Shlomo, the Ambassador of Israel to Thailand.

    The demonstration unit is a greenhouse facility equipped with Israeli drip irrigation and sprinkler systems to enable save, efficient and sustainable agricultural production.
