Don’t miss “In the Footsteps of Cassandra” by Israeli Choreographer Ronit Ziv @ the International Dance Festival 2015 on Tu 1 and Wed 2 December, 19.00 hrs, Bangkok Art And Culture Centre (BACC).

In Greek mythology, Cassandra was one of the princesses of Troy, daughter of Priam and Hecuba. According to the Myth, Cassandra was astonishingly beautiful and blessed with the gift of foreseeing the future. Her curse was that no one believed her.

“I was enchanted by Cassandra and tried to find ways to dance “her”. At the same time, I tried to avoid over-interpreting her mental, emotional state, as well as avoid what I perceive as a misinterpretation of her insanity. I was trying to identify where the text and the movement image overlap.” – Ronit Ziv, Israeli Choreographer
