1. In Azerbaijan there is strictness of removal of art objects from the state, such as carpets, silverware and copper utensils. Therefore, at the time of purchase, you must obtain a "SHAHADAT NA'AME" certificate, which permits the purchase and removal of items from the country. This certificate can be obtained at the store. The removal of the objects without the above certificate may lead to delays, fines and, in some cases, opening of a court case and imprisonment.
According to local law, an amount of $10,000 USD and up to $ 50,000 USD must be declared at the entrance to the country, Do not enter the country beyond this amount. In addition, it is not possible to withdraw from the State an amount exceeding $ 10,000 USD (even if there is approval from the Bank or from another party).
Please note that there is a restriction on removing the following items:
Gold up to 20 grams, diamonds up to 0.5 carats, tobacco weighing no more than 600 grams (3 packs), drinks and wines up to 3 liters, caviar up to 125 grams.
2. During the 1990s, Armenia took over the control over Nagorno-Karabakh and seven other districts.
According to Azerbaijani law, the entry of foreign nationals into these areas without permission of the government of Azerbaijan is a violation of the Azerbaijani law. Violators of this law are expected to be included in the black list and may be arrested upon their arrival in Azerbaijan and stand the trial.
Upon a request of the Azerbaijani government these people may be arrested in third countries and may be extradited to Azerbaijan.
The following are the districts that are controlled by Armenia since 90’s:
A. The Nagorno-Karabakh region includes the following provinces: Khocavand, Khojaly and Tartar and the cities Khankendi ( armenian: Stepanakert) and Shusha
B. 5 regions surrounding Nangorno-Karabakh: Lachin, Kalbajar, Zangilan, Gubadly, Jabrayil
C. 2 districts, which are partly under the control of Armenia: Fuzuli, Agdam
3. An Israeli citizen who also has citizenship, a passport or a native of Azerbaijan must, prior to his departure from Israel, clarify his status regarding the obligation of military service in Azerbaijan through the authorities in Azerbaijan.
The Foreign Ministry warns that there is no military service agreement with Azerbaijan and that an Israeli citizen serving in the IDF is not exempt from military service in Azerbaijan, and if he does not arrange his status, it is expected upon entering to Azerbaijan he will be required to serve in the army. He will be able to leave the country only after his status is settled.
4. Foreigners or stateless persons willing to temporarily stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days should get registered upon place of stay at the State Migration Service within 15 days from their arrival date.

5. Foreigners and stateless persons can get a e-visa with three working days by three steps (apply, make a payment and download e-visa) through ASAN Visa portal. E-visa is a single entry document which authorizes 30 days of stay in the countries.
E-visas are granted to citizens of the countries which have been specified by Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry and stateless persons permanently living in those countries. ASAN Visa portal, an operator of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the Azerbaijani President, was launched on January 10, 2017.

www.eviza.gov.az and follow the given instructions.
Visa issue procedure is expected to take approximately three days.
Visa fee is 23$ to be paid by credit card.
In addition to e-Visa, Israeli citizens can also obtain VISA upon arrival at the airport in Azerbaijan on payment of 26$ in cash/creadit card. You will need to use ASAN visa machines.
