Two Israeli diplomatic cadets, Maizy Eliash and Yoav Bistritsky from the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MFA) Cadet Course Program conducted a work visit to Ethiopia.
The Cadet Course is a professional training conducted by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem, to train Israeli diplomats.
Ethiopia has been chosen by the MFA as a destination for this training considering the tight and strong relations between the countries, and being an important scene for bilateral and multilateral diplomacy.
On their first day, together with Deputy Ambassador Mr. Or Daniely they met with Masters students at the Ethiopian Civil Service University coming from different countries in the horn of Africa and held an open discussion about Jewish immigration to Israel, success stories and challenges.
As the objective of the training is to expose the cadets to real life diplomatic work, they met with Mr. Bereket Sisay from the Ethiopian News Agency and discussed about the Middle East and the special relationship between Israel and Ethiopia.
Later, they continued their media experience by visiting Fana Tv studios. They met with Mr. Adam and Ms. Yeshewa and conversed about journalism and modern media.
