H.E. Ambassador Aleligne Admasu.
H.E. Ambassador Aleligne Admasu was born in Ethiopia in 1961 and moved to Israel in 1983.
He accomplished his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics in 1988 from Tel Aviv University. Advancing in the world of academia, he acquired MBA in Public Policy in 1996 and in Teaching Social Science in 2003 from the same university.
Ambassador Admasu served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as Major (Reserve), Education and Youth Corps, training post, Officers’ School lecturer, IDF Personnel Command Advisor and participated in “Operation Solomon”.
The veteran politician, public servant and social equality activist served as an Advisor to the Prime Minister on Ethiopian Absorption Issues and then was the member of the Likud faction in the 18th Knesset (2012-2013). Before his appointment As Ambassador of Israel to Ethiopia on March 2021, Ambassador Admasu, has been self-employed, initiating and organizing various projects such as lectures, workshops and group sessions on a variety of topics, mainly related to culture difference and self-empowerment. Moreover, he is the founder of the social party known as “Israel Brotherhood for Social Equality” which aims to increase public awareness and make an impact towards renewal in various and diverse fields towards creating an open, just and equal society for all residents of Israel.
Ambassador Admasu is married with five children.
