Kigali – DCM Leo Vinovezky traveled to Rwanda to participate in the Diplomatic Excursion to the Southern and Western provinces of Rwanda organized by the Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for members of the diplomatic corps. He also coordinated bilateral cooperation with Rwandan Ministries of Agriculture, Education, Culture, and officials concerned with development cooperation at large.
Interview with Collins Mwai of The New Times in Kigali, Rwanda:
In the interview he mentions: “Since [Israel and Rwanda] went through different but similar nightmares, the Holocaust and the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, we can understand each other better or relate to it. Still, our duty is to remember and remind and not forget” … “we cannot change the past, however, we can build the present …  and invest into the future…Rwanda has created mechanisms of cooperation and initiatives with neighbouring countries … we are also doing the same with Palestinians, Jordans, Egyptians, and other neighbors to establish cooperation … in areas [of] commerce, energy, and other resources.”
