How can the world's top leaders and scientists combat this trend? Israel recently hosted the Fourth International Conference on Dry lands, Deserts, and Desertification to find out. The conference drew more than 500 people from 60 countries and was co-sponsored by the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
