Addis Ababa - His Holiness Abune Mathias was enthroned as the 6th Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church on Sunday, 03 March 2013.
He was serving as the Archbishop of the Orthodox Church’s monastery in Jerusalem before his election as Patriarch on Thursday (February 28th). With the attendance of Church hierarchs and representatives from various countries, the coronation ceremony was held at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa.
