Each year, Ethiopian Israeli students at the Heart Fellowship Program at IDC (Inter Disciplinary Center in Herzlyia), celebrate the Sigd –– a holiday representing the yearning of the Ethiopian Jewish community to come to Zion, and a contemporary celebration of the realization of this dream. The day is celebrated by all members of the IDC aimed at greater understanding and honoring of the Ethiopian Jewish history and culture.
