Ambassador Belaynesh met with Ato Mulugeta Tegegne, the man in charge of a Synagogue construction in Ambober town –– the center of the Jewish community in Gonder. He resides there heading all operations regarding the synagogue including receiving official guests visiting from outside Gonder as well.
She also met with Israeli volunteers in Gonder who have given a very helpful hand there to the community from taking in homeless children from the streets, to providing them education and coaching them regarding what they need to know in their lives, sanitation issues, etc. They also organize charity events for the needy.
