The first year cooperation between AICAT (Arava International Center for Agricultural Training) and the Ethiopian Universities and Colleges of Agriculture is successfully completed with the graduation of more than 40 students from different Ethiopian universities.
1st round winners of AICAT scholarship
The beginning of the second round of trainings commences this September with participation of fifty two Ethiopian university students that will receive full scholarship to go to Israel for one year for practical capacity building trainings by Israeli agriculture experts and farmers focused on modern irrigation mechanisms as well as new hi-tech agriculture including agriculture on deserted areas at agricultural production spots in the ARAVA.
The students are 20 students from Wondogenet, 12 from Jijiga, and 20 from Jimma Universities – totally 52 candidates. They receive monthly income which can assist them covering their tuition for their studies at ARAVA.
