Established since 1394 by NCHARE YEN, King and Founder of Bamoun Kingdom, the ''NGOUN'' is the Festival that promote the cultural identity of Bamoun people.
For this 546th edition under the theme: ''NGOUN'' Lever for peace-building and development, several activities have been planed.
In the RITES AND TRADITIONS heading , we have activities like : the Ritual Entry of ''NGOUN'' in the palace, the ''SHA'PAN'' Ceremony, the solemn entry of the King, the Indictment of ''FONS NGOUN'', and the ''FIT KINDI'' or ''SHO MELUE'' Ceremony.
In the Dance and culture heading, we have activities like: the opening ceremony, the Miss NGOUN Competition, Music concerts, traditionnal dance Competition, and the ''Path of Legend''.
With Economic activities, we have : fair, exibitions, sales, and Agro-pastoral Comice.
Soprt and touristics activities are not in rest: we have tourist trip, Ascension of the MBATPIT Mountain, the KOUTABA-FOUMBOT Marathon, Football tournament of the King, and traditionnal sports.
Finally, in the Education and Health heading, several educationnal and medical activities are also visible.
It is the entire Bamoun people who were honored by the presence of the Ambassador of Israel at this brand event which valorize the rich and authentic cultural heritage of this people.
