Following its previous project of the vaccination of children in the refugee camp in Gado-Badzere, in June 2014, the Embassy of Israel has initiated sporting activities for children and young people in the refugee camp and the village of Gado-Badzere.
It is within this context that the Embassy of Israel in Yaoundé brought two football trainers, specialized in the organization of sporting activities in communities in conflict zones and high disaster areas. The trainers are Nir Comber and Tom Yonatan-Marsland from a sports organization in Israel called "Mifalot Education and Society Enterprises".
The purpose of the two trainers was to use football in order to encourage peaceful coexistence between the Central African refugees in the East region and the host community.
This activity was organized by the Embassy of Israel in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Physical Education (MINSEP), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Cameroon.
Beside MINSEP's financial contribution to the project, they also provided two physical education teachers (Mounjoutouyi Nganjupoua Olivier and Nkake Herve Willy)  who supported the Israeli trainers during their stay in Gado-Badzere.
From the 10th to 18th December, the trainers organized training sessions with more than 2500 children, young boys and young girls. They also organized football tournaments among the refugees and the local population in order to bring the two people together through football.
H.E. Nadav COHEN, Israel's Ambassador to Cameroon was present at the closing ceremony of the programme to witness its effectiveness, communion with participants and give end-of-course certificates to participants who had distinguished themselves in various ways.

At the end of the stay in Cameroon, the two trainers,  were received by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Mr. Adoum Garoua, on the 19th December 2014. The minister who play an important role for the success of this activities, praised the efforts the trainers and expressed his wish to see them in Cameroon again.
