    Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Since its inception in 1958, MASHAV - the Hebrew acronym for Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs is committed to sharing Israel’s social, educational and technological expertise with countries all over the world.

Every year, MASHAV’s training division conducts about 100 courses at its training centers throughout Israel, training 1,500 to 2,000 professionals from more 100 developing countries in five continents. Most courses span three weeks including field trips, professional visits and tourist tours.  MASHAV courses includes lodging, full board, transportation and tuition. The scholarship does not cover airfare.

In addition, MASHAV’s training division offers dozens of on-the-spot courses for about 1-2 weeks and in most cases conducted by two MASHAV experts, based on coordination between MASHAV, the local entity, the Israeli Embassy. MASHAV covers all the costs while the host country takes responsibility for organizing the course, recruiting participants and paying for all related local expenses.

Many courses, by MASHAV training division are conducted in cooperation with United Nations agencies, along with assistance agencies of other developed countries with which we offer courses to a third country based on trilateral cooperation.
In 2020 following the Covid-19 pandemic, MASHAV decided to continue training by conducting a series of online lectures addressing issues.

Online lectures are constantly published in embassy’s media (Facebook page: https://facebook.com/IsraelinCameroon  and twitter account: @israelinCM).
