The Cameroon National Culture Festival (FENAC) was officially opened on 7 November 2016, and will be held for a week.  The festival incorporates live theater, dance, music, folklore evenings and an exhibition of plastic art.

The Israeli embassy in Yaounde is participating this year in the Cameroon National Culture Festival at the invitation of the Cameroon Minister of Culture, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. Israel is the only foreign country to have opened a national pavilion at this year's fair.  The Israeli pavilion, displaying audio-visual materials and promotional videos, is located in the courtyard of the National Museum.

Within the framework of the festival, the Israeli embassy produced the play Ulysses on Bottles, written by the late Israeli playwright and screenwriter Gilad Evron. The play was staged on 9 November in the National Arts Center by local actors.

Hundreds of people, including the Minister of Culture, visited the Israeli pavilion.
