And already four!On Friday 28
July 2023, HE Anan ZEN, Chargé d'affaires at the Israeli Embassy in Cameroon,
inaugurated the fourth computer lab on the campus of the Institut Africain
d'Informatique (IAI) in Kribi.
After the
multimedia centres in Yaoundé (Central Region), Bafoussam (Western Region) and
Abong-Mbang (Eastern Region), it was the turn of the town of Kribi in the
Southern Region of Cameroon to receive its computer laboratory.
The inauguration
ceremony was attended by the town's administrative and religious authorities,
and all IAI staff. They were full of praise for the Israeli embassy in Cameroon
and its representative, celebrating the excellent relations between our two
countries.
In his speech,
Chargé d'affaires HE Anan ZEN recalled that this remarkable endeavor, made
possible through the efforts of the Embassy of Israel in Cameroon, signifies a
commitment to fostering education, empowering the youth, and promoting
innovation in Cameroon, a renewed commitment that strengthens the ties between
Israel and Cameroon.
For the Israeli
diplomat, education is the key to unlocking a brighter future for positive
change and progress, in Kribi and beyond. He thanked IAI-Cameroon and its
resident representative Mr. Armand Claude ABANDA, whom he asked to ensure the
sustainability of this project.
The ceremony
ended with a family photo and the presentation of a gift in the colors of
Israel, donated by the IAI Kribi campus.
