At the end of his stay in Douala, HE Ran Gidor Ambassador of the State of Israel in Cameroon showed his satisfaction after this working visit, this is understandable with regard to all the authorities and personalities that SE met in Douala.
First received by the Secretary General of the Littoral Region with his Staff, he then met the Head of the Protocol Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Douala, Mrs KUOH ESSOME epse Ngangue Gisele.
The tour of the most important media of the Economic Capital also attracted the attention of the Ambassador. For this purpose, he visited "STV TV" (Spectrum Television), "Canal 2 International", "Sweet Fm Radio", and "Equinoxe Television".
This working visit was also the occasion to meet important businessmen of the city like Mr. Mohamadou Bayero FADIL an important investor in the sectors of Tourism, Technology, and Agro- Food production; Or Mrs Kate Fotso Managing Director of the TELCAR Company. In the same way, the meeting with the Secretary General of GICAM in charge of Arbitration Mr. David NYAMSI shows that Israel wants to intensify trade with its Cameroonian partner.
In terms of technological development, Israel is an uncontested leader at the international level. With a view to sharing this technological expertise and forging successful partnerships, it was just as crucial to meet the moblie telephony players in Cameroon, the most representative of which are Orange and MTN. The management team has proved fruitful and full of future.
More important was the meeting with Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation (CAMWATER) General Manager Mr. Alfonse Roger Ondoa Akoa, since Israel has a great experience in water treatment and management and wants to share this experience with his Cameroonian partner.
In order to understand the political environment of Cameroon it was also important to meet some political leaders in Douala, such as the honourable Jean Michel Nitcheu and the lawyer Michele Ndoki.
Because he believes in the youth of Cameroon and the potential of young people, since his arrival in Cameroon HE Ambassador Ran Gidor has always shown the Interest of the Israeli Embassy to contribute to the development of youth entrepreneurship. It is in the continuation of this objective that HE has exchanged with the young entrepreneurs of the city of Douala within the framework of the platform called '' ActivSpaces ''; which is a kind of incubator that provides resources to startups of the technologic sector. Moreover, as a reminder, the Embassy of Israel in Cameroon organized from 28th November to 2nd December 2016 in Yaounde, a Seminar on "Innovation High-Tech and Entrepreneurship" which met 100 young Cameroonians from the 10 Regions of Cameroon. During 4 days they were equipped; they exchanged and shared their experiences with experts from Israel and Cameroon.
Culture, which is an important lever of diplomacy in that it encourages the intermingling of cultures, makes it possible to reach more of the population at the same time. This is why during this working visit HE the Ambassador of Israel met during a cultural evening the barns figures of the Musical Art in Cameroon. Internationally renowned artists such as Grace DECCA, Dina BELL, Ekambi Brilliant, San Fan Thomas, and many others. Interesting was also the meeting with social activist Nsang Dilong, also Actress and model. She mainly presented its humanitarian action in favor of the disadvantaged strata.
Finally, during a Media breifing given to the various media of the port city, the Ambassador of Israel returned on the main lines that support the Action of the Embassy of Israel in Cameroon and projected the actions for the future. Among other things, the importance of further developing trade relations between the two States can be noted.
