Each year, the Embassy of Israel in Cameroon organizes demonstrations on the sidelines of the celebration of the National Day of Israel.  These events are most often aimed at supporting projects in the fields of social life, health, sustainable development and many others.
This year, as part of this national celebration, the Embassy of Israel will hand over a donation of computer equipment to the CETIC of Ngoa-Ekélé, a secondary school of industrial and commercial engineering of the city of Yaounde.  The Embassy of Israel wishes this material to strengthen the capacity of this institution in the field of training in new information and communication technologies (ICTs), and to stimulate vocations among learners to take an interest in digital economy to meet demand in this fast-growing sector.
This ceremony is not the first of its kind, as it fits in 3rd place in the series of activities undertaken by the Embassy of Israel in the framework of the celebration of its National Day.  Indeed, several activities have already been carried out in the fields of social life, health and sustainable development.
First of all, the ‘‘GOOD DEEDS Day’’ was held last April 22nd.  During this event, the Embassy of Israel brought a multifaceted support (medical consultations, food products, entertainment ...) to nearly 130 orphans and children in distress of the various reception centers of Yaoundé.  Then, the Israeli Embassy requested the participation of the ‘‘Coeur d’Afrique Foundation’’ of HE Albert Roger MILLA to organize the "ISRAEL DAY with Roger Milla Foundation" Which was held on 19th May.  During the day, the two donors donated a variety of materials (sewing machines, hairdressing equipment, computers, freezer, spinner ...) to the "HANDICAP HOME Foundation ", where 30 women with disabilities can now benefit.  On the same day, the social action was carried out alongside sickle cell children from the Mother and Child Pavilion of the Chantal BIYA Foundation.  The bottom, HE Roger MILLA and HE Ran Gidor handed over a donation of medicines and medical materials for the care of sickle cell children.
Beyond the vision of this Action which is to strengthen the bonds of friendship between Israelis and Cameroon through projects and actions of solidarity, poverty reduction and development support;  for HE Ran Gidor it is not a question of considering the gift but of understanding that it is an investment for the future;  an investment which consists in giving the students of this institution the chance to develop their studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
