Last Friday, 11th April 2014, the Israeli ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Nadav COHEN was received by the president of the Senate of Cameroon, Rt. Hon. Marcel Niat NJIFENJI.
In a meeting that lasted close to one hour, both men discussed the various aspects of the bilateral relationships between Cameroon and Israel as well as avenues to explore new areas of cooperation.
H.E. Nadav COHEN said that for the short time he has been in Cameroon since his appointment, he had been impressed by the warmth of Cameroonian people and that he had seen enough reason to confirm that the friendship of Cameroon towards Israel is not only perceptible on the international diplomatic arena but that that friendship seems to be a natural disposition of Cameroonians.
Both men agreed that their two countries shared multiple similarities in cultural variety and that both had managed to transcend internal cultural differences to build a strong and unique national identity.
Although significant cooperation already exists between both countries in the areas of agriculture, health, professional training and technological development, the ambassador and Senate President said that was time to boost cooperation between the legislative organs of their two countries.
