A strike at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

  •

As of March 4th, 2014: Due to a labor dispute in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, no consular services are offered until further notice except in cases of life or death emergencies.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Suspension of All Protocol and Consular Services
     to the Foreign Diplomatic Corps

Pursuant to the continuing labor sanctions within the Foreign Ministry, because of the procrastination on the part of the Finance Ministry and its failure to make any progress in resolving the labor dispute, the Foreign Service Workers' Association wishes to inform you that all Protocol and Consular services and treatment provided to the foreign diplomatic corps – missions and international organizations, diplomatic staff, and foreign domestic employees working for the missions and residences – will be suspended as of today, Wednesday 5 March, until further notice.

We understand the unprecedented severity of these steps and we very much regret the need to take these strong measures. However, we have been left with no choice.  We hope that an honorable solution will soon be found to properly address the needs of the Foreign Service of the State of Israel.

Once again, we thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation, and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience that might be caused by these steps.
