  •   Information regarding the entry of Israeli citizens into South Africa

    According to regulations promulgated by the South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 24th, 2015, entry into the country will only be possible with a biometric or machine readable passport.
    Further, it will not be possible to enter the country with a passport extended with a sticker.
    ·         A person arriving with such a passport will be returned to his country of origin.
     
    Due to concerns regarding the trafficking in minors the following regulations are in effect:
    1)      While entering the country  with a minor it necessary to provide an original birth certificate, that has been translated and signed by apostille signature. The names of both parents must appear.
    2)      When leaving the country with just one parent one of the following documents must be presented.
    a.       Affidavit made at a police station at the other parent’s country of origin.
    b.      Court order granting full custody or guardianship over the minor.
    c.       In case the other parent is deceased – a death certificate of the deceased parent.
    3)      When entering or leaving the country with an escort that isn’t a biological parent or guardian the following must be presented:
    a.       Copy of the minor’s birth certificate, signed by apostille and translated if necessary.
    b.      Affidavit by the legal parents or guardians, signed by notary, permitting the travel of the minor with the escort.
    c.       Copy of the both parents or guardians passports.
    d.      Contact information of the parents or legal guardian.
