Ziv Nevo Kulman is an Israeli career diplomat and since August 2021 the ambassador of
Israel to Sweden. Born in Tel Aviv in 1969, he holds a BA in Art History and a MA from the
Interdisciplinary Arts Program at the Tel Aviv University.
He joined the Israel Foreign Ministry 1995 and served as Cultural Attaché in Tokyo
(1999-2003) and Paris (2008-2012), Deputy Ambassador in Prague (2006-2008) and Consul
General in Montreal (2014-2017). His postings in Israel include directing the Foreign
Ministry's Training Department (2012-2014) and Head of Cultural Diplomacy (2017-2021).
His contribution in the field of cultural exchange was officially recognized by the French
government in 2012, when he was named Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
During his last three year stay in Jerusalem he volunteered at the Jerusalem Open House
for Pride and Tolerance educational program.
He speaks Hebrew, English and French fluently and he has good knowledge of Japanese,
and some Italian and Czech.
His hobbies include cycling, vegetarian cooking and listening to ABBA music.
