Sotheby’s will host its first selling exhibition of outdoor sculpture in Asia with the support of the Singapore Tourism Board and the National Parks Board presenting 17 works by award-winning Israeli sculptor Zadok Ben-David against the magnificent backdrop of the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Art enthusiasts here may recall Israeli British sculptor Zadok Ben-David's installation Blackfield, which was showcased at the 2008 Singapore Biennale.

The work featured a forest of more than 10,000 small, flat metallic plants in white sand, spread over 100 sq m.

This is Sotheby's first selling exhibition of outdoor sculptures in Asia and it is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board and the National Parks Board. The works are priced between $250,000 and $500,000.

Zadok's work explores man's relationship with nature, a theme which continues in his newer work. His new pieces feature several elements including trees and butterflies entwined in works which challenge one's perceptions of reality.
