Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communications & Information, Mr Chee Hong Tat and Members of Parliament Mr Desmond Choo and Ms Tin Pei Lin were the guests of honor at the 68th Independence Day event. The Independence Day celebrations were held at the John Jacob Ballroom of The St Regis, Singapore.
Special highlights of the evening included the national anthems of Singapore and Israel played by Israel Philharmonic Orchestra during their performance visit to Singapore, earlier in the year. This was the second visit of the IPO to the Garden City for their one night only concert at Esplanade, Theaters by the Bay.
In the company of dear friends, Ambassador of Israel in Singapore, Yael Rubinstein raised a toast to the Presidents of Singapore & Israel with the Guest of Honor, Minister Chee Hong Tat.
