Lior Avraham lectures on Pest Control Management

    The Israel Embassy in Manila brought in expert Mr. Lior Avraham last May 21-23, 2014 to Lewis Hotel, Clark, Pampanga to lecture on “Control and Management of Pests and Diseases in Vegetable Production in PICAT-ARISP III Complementation Project Areas.”

    The event was attended by members from different municipalities wherein they were taught on how to identify pests in the early stages of growing crops as well as proper selection of pesticides for the different types and kinds of pests.

     
     Prior to the lecture, Mr. Lior visited the sites of Bulacan, Pampanga and Nueva Ecija and was able to meet with Mayor Lorna Vero, PARPO Emmanuel Aguinaldo and PARPO Eden Ponio. During his site visits, he was able to consult with the farmers of vegetable pests and diseases and educate them on how to properly address these problems.

    Israel Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Adam Levene attended the closing ceremonies.

    The event was of great help to Filipino farmers as this would not only help them in controlling and managing pests but as well as help them improve on their farming techniques within their communities.​
