Tali Rubinstein, an internationally acclaimed recorder player, singer and composer from Israel, brings and connects her music to the future generation of musicians in Manila as part of the Israel Embassy’s cultural program.
Tali who specializes in contemporary, original and jazz music, conducted masterclasses in the New Era University, Philippine Women’s University, University of Sto. Tomas and University of the Philippines Diliman from November 8 to 12, 2016.
The Casa Limón artist also performed with the Manila Symphony Orchestra on November 10, 2016 at the Ayala Museum in Makati City. Her performance and masterclasses were part of her Fall 2016 Tour that brought her music to Denmark, Germany, Spain, Taiwan, and now the Philippines.
Originating in classical music and digging into jazz, pop and R & B music, Tali has been defying the boundaries of the ancient baroque instrument as she resonates her own voice in today’s music scene.
Fueled by her passion for jazz and contemporary music, Tali received a full scholarship, and became the first recorder player to ever study at the Berklee College of Music, Boston. She has represented Berklee at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington D.C. and upon graduation, she received the W.S. Kenney award for outstanding achievement.
During her studies at Berklee, Tali registered for a class with the multiple Grammy Award winning producer Javier Limón who later offered to produce her duo album "Tal y Tali" together with pianist Tal Even-Tzur. Tali composed and played for the 2015 Latin Grammy Award winning album "Entre 20 Aguas A La Música De Paco De Lucía".
