Judaism places the value of education as one of the most important aspects of life – which is shared with the Christian faith. Both beliefs express the need to teach to achieve the dreams of tomorrow and the building of a strong community.
The State of Israel recognizes the value of education and learning, given its dependency on human resources due to the lack of its own natural resources. The value of knowledge may be immeasurable but it is priceless.
The relief program for the students of Marikina was conducted on 21 October 2013 at the H. Bautista Elementary School. Spearheading the relief efforts will be His Excellency, Ambassador Menashe Bar On and members of the Marikina City government.
In a statement, the Ambassador said: "I am delighted to help the people of Marikina once again, especially the students. Our culture emphasizes on learning, and it is the policy of my government to share this knowledge with the world. On a personal note, the happy faces of the children are indeed heart-warming and I know that if you teach them well, they will lead the way.
Israel conducted a donation mission for the residents of Marikina last 12 September at the Marikina Sports Complex together with Mayor De Guzman.
