Miss Earth candidate from Israel, Tala Safadi, brings a message of hope during her stay in the Philippines for the recent Miss Earth competition.
The 18-year-old lady from the Israeli Arab community says the competition opened her mind to the diverse cultures of different countries through her fellow candidates.
Safadi shares that her visit to a school in Tanauan City is the most memorable activity during her stay in the Philippines.
“I had a lot of fun during our activities. The most fun experience is when we visited a school. The children respect the elder persons, always saying hello and asking if we need any help,” Safadi says.
She also expresses admiration to the cheerful Filipinos and beautiful destinations in the Philippines.
“All the people here are happy and they smile all the time. And the people take care of the environment,” Safadi says.
“The Philippines is beautiful. I love the beach here. It is so clean. I love Boracay. I will tell my friends to visit the Philippines,” she adds.
The Miss Earth competition brought her friends from different countries. More importantly, it made her even more responsible and caring for the environment.
“I love nature. Through the competition, I learned a lot of things. We only have one earth and we need to protect it,” Safadi says.
