The Embassy of Israel in the Philippines celebrated MASHAV, Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation, 60th anniversary in a Gala event that gathered MASHAV graduates and friends of Israel in the Philippines.

More than 3,000 Filipinos from public agencies, academe and private sector have completed international courses and workshops in their fields of capability including agriculture and food security, community development, education, innovation and entrepreneurship, and medicine and public health.

In her keynote address, Senator Cynthia Villar encouraged MASHAV scholars to implement the skills that they acquired in Israel after their return to the Philippines. Ambassador of Israel Rafael Harpaz welcomed MASHAV scholars and emphasized the good historic relations between the countries.

Israeli opera singer Yaniv D’Or and musicians Amit Tiefenbrunn, Eyal Leber and Nadav Ovadia made a special guest performance in the event.

The event will serve as a starting point for a tradition of a productive cooperation between the Embassy of Israel and MASHAV graduates in the Philippines.
