Israeli envoy offers new crop technology to Baguio

    ​Israel Ambassador to the Philippines Ephraim Ben Matityau was in Baguio on Monday (October 13) to meet with local officials regarding a possible educational tie-ups especially in the field of agriculture.

    Matityau met with Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan and Baguio Representative Nicasio Aliping Jr. and said local students can benefit from a partnership between the Philippine and Israeli government wherein scholarship programs are being granted to study modern technologies to grow crops.

    He added that through this partnership, many students from the Cordillera region, especially those from Ifugao and Benguet, were already learning about advanced agriculture techniques employed in Israel.
