The Minister for Regional Cooperation, Mr.Tzachi Hanegbi, visited the Vatican as part of the Bilateral Permanent Working Commission between the Holy See and the State of Israel pursuant to the Fundamental Agreement of 1993.
During his visit Minister Hanegbi visited the Menorah exhibition in the Vatican and the Jewish museums and took part at the reception organized by Ambassador Oren David in honor of members of the delegations.
He also met with the Secretary for Relations with States, Mons. Paul Richard Gallagher, participated in the general audience on Wednesday 14th June, during which he met Pope Francis.

COMUNICATO STAMPA
Ieri, 14 giugno 2017, il Sig. Tzachi Hanegbi, Ministro della Cooperazione Regionale di Israele, si è incontrato con S. E. Mons. Paul Richard Gallagher, Segretario per i Rapporti con gli Stati della Santa Sede.
Il Ministro, durante l’incontro, ha sottolineato gli evidenti progressi fatti per la conclusione degli Accordi Finanziari tra Israele e Santa Sede, grazie ai negoziati che si sono svolti in sessione plenaria il giorno 13 Giugno, in un’atmosfera cordiale che rispecchia le speciali relazioni tra i due Stati e le due religioni.
Prima dell’ incontro il Ministro Hanegbi ha partecipato all’Udienza Generale dove ha potuto salutare Papa Francesco.
