Pont.Biblical Institute visit to the Synagogue

    ​As part of Embassy’s project, a group of students from the Pontifical Biblical Institute headed by Professor Sievers, Professor of Jewish History and Literature of the Hellenistic Period, visited the great Synagogue and the Jewish Museum. The students came from over 18 countries from all over the world, such as: India, Colombia, Indonesia, France, Philippines, Korea, Ghana, Cameroon, Poland, Brazil.
    The students were introduced to the Jewish tradition and the Roman Jewish tradition, history and culture.
    After the visit the Embassy received a very positive feedback from the Pontifical Institute and an encouragement to continue inviting other groups from Christian and Catholic Institutions to visit the Synagogue and the Jewish Museum in order to have a greater knowledge and a better understanding of the Jewish traditions.
