On Thursday, January 23rd, over 45 world leaders and Heads of State will gather at Yad Vashem for the 5th World Holocaust Forum, under the banner: "Remembering the Holocaust, Fighting Antisemitism."
The event, which will take place at Yad Vashem, marks International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2020 and 75 years to the liberation of Auschwitz.
This photograph was taken at Auschwitz-Birkenau at the time of liberation by Soviet photographer Alexander Vorontsov who accompanied the Red Army. It depicts thirteen child survivors of Auschwitz.
Out of the 6 million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust, around 1 million were killed in Auschwitz.
