    ​On November 19th Ambassador Raphael Schutz presented his credentials to His Holiness Pope Francis.

    During the cordial conversation, they talked about the possibility of cooperating in areas of common interest.

    The issues of sustainability, the fight against the climate crisis and the need for universal solidarity to face the challenges common to all of humanity, are matters dear to Pope Francis and Israel, with its technological skills, wishes to contribute to the common good.

    On this occasion, Ambassador Schutz offered the Pope symbolic gifts: Dates from Kibbutz Eilot in the Arava Desert, irrigated with purified wastewater, an example of Israel's ability in the field of sustainability and flowering the wilderness, and a pair of blue and white football boots with the inscription of words of peace and hope in various languages.
