    ​First Israeli Honorary Consulate in Finland and Nordic countries opened in Vaasa on September 15th. Honorary Consul Fredrik Ekholm has long history of maintaining Finnish-Israeli connections.

    ​Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman granted entrepeneur Karl Fredrik Ekholm the title of Honorary Consul of Israel.

     

    The Honorary Consulate opened in September 15th in Vaasa is first of its kind in Finland and also all of Nordic Countries.

     

    Honorary Consul Ekholm has a long history of building and maintaining Finnish-Israeli relations, through his own business activities, his activities in the Finnish-Israeli Trade Association and through several charity projects he has lead.
