At approximately 10:55 pm yesterday (17/6) a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in Yibin City, Changning County in southern Sichuan Province. Additional tremors and aftershocks have occurred since and remain ongoing.
Visitors are advised to avoid the area. Israelis in the affected areas should follow instructions given by the local authorities and may contact the Israeli Consulate should they require assistance: 028-6871-9500.
