    Notary and Authentication Services
     
    General information: 
    1. Notary and authentication services are given by appointment via email.

    2. Payment for services must be made in advance through CITIC bank branch or CITIC bank online payment link. Please make sure to choose the correct application place (Chengdu) and service type  https://etrade.citicbank.com/portalweb/ISRvisaPayF.html

    3. Valid passport must be presented to receive services. (Israeli citizens may present other forms of government-issued photo ID.)

    4. The consulate does not provide printing, copying, or fax services

    5. The consul reserves the right to refuse notary and authentication of a document if questions of legality arise.

    6. Processing time for notary and authentication services is 5 business days. The consulate will return documents to applicant via Shunfeng Delivery, applicant shall pay for the delivery fee upon receiving the package.


    Authentication of Public Certificates
    (i.e. birth certificates, marriage/divorce certificates, etc)

    Procedure: 
    1. Complete notarization of document in certified local notary offices, notarized documents must be in Chinese and English. 
    2. Complete authentication of the notarized document by local Chinese Foreign Affairs Office (within Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, and Guizhou only). For FAO offices info, please click: http://cs.mfa.gov.cn/zggmcg/lsrz/ 
    Note: Please choose "Authentication by local FAO" when applying for authentication service in local FAO offices. 
    3. Contact consulate for notary appointment: please email following information to the above consulate email address: 1) applicant’s full name and contact number, 2) applicant’s passport front page, 3) name of document and its purpose of use, 4) address in China to receive package. 
    If copies are needed, please mention in the email for payment instructions.
    4. Upon Consulate confirmation, submit materials by post. Please reply to consulate email the package details including delivery company name and package number.

    Materials required: 
    1. Local FAO authenticated notary document original
    2. Passport copy of applicant
    3. Notary fee payment receipt

    Authentication of Signature
    (Signing declaration/affidavit/statement/power of attorney/ forms, etc)

    Procedure:
    1. Documents to be signed should be prepared and printed in advance.
    The consulate does not provide form documents or legal advice in the preparation of documents.
    Please fill in the rest details in the document before arriving to the Consular section except for the signature and signing date.
    Authentication of signature will only be performed on documents in Hebrew or English. Documents in other languages must be translated and submitted along with the translator’s authenticated declaration. 

    2. Email applicant's full name, contact info, passport front-page copy, name of document and its purpose of use, and full text copy of the document to be signed to one of the above consular section email addresses to make an appointment.
    Note: If multiple signatories and/or copies are needed, please mention in the email for payment instructions.
    3.  Consulate inform applicant material requirement and time of arrival via email.
    4. Applicant come to Consulate on appointed date and sign the document in the presence of the consul only.
    The consul will notarize the document only after ascertaining signatory’s full understanding of the document’s contents.

    Certification of a Copy of a Document
    (i.e. passport copy, etc)

    Procedure: 
    1. Documents original and copy should be prepared and printed in advance.
    2. Email applicant's full name, contact info, passport front-page copy, name of document and its purpose of use, full text copy of the document, and address in China to receive package to one of the above consular section email addresses to make an appointment.
    If more copies are needed, please mention in the email for payment instructions.
    3. Upon Consulate confirmation, submit materials by post. Please reply to consulate email the package details including delivery company name and package number.

    Materials required: 
    1. Passport front page copy
    2. Document original and copy
    3. Payment receipt
