Coronavirus (COVID-19) – Changes to Consular Service
In light of the circumstances, admission to the Consulate will be possible only in urgent cases and with advance coordination by telephone or email.

However, in such cases where admission to the Consulate is coordinated in advance, entry will only be permitted with a protective mask and gloves.
Israeli citizens/residents returning to Israel from any destination, beginning on March 9, 2020 at 8:00 PM, must enter home quarantine for 14 days that shall begin upon arrival in Israel.
Foreign nationals travelling to Israel - beginning on March 12, 2020, entry will be permitted subject to proof and a signed declaration that they can stay in home quarantine for the duration of 14 days upon arrival in Israel. (Hotels and student dormitories are not considered acceptable accommodations).
The declaration must be submitted to the Embassy of Israel or to the nearest Israeli Consulate. It takes 5 business days to get approval for travel from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so please plan accordingly. You must contact consular services in order to get all necessary travel forms.
Tourist visas will only be issued under special circumstances.
After arrival to Israel – if symptoms of COVID-19 appear, you must contact Magen David Adom at the telephone number 101 for further medical examination.

Urgent notary approvals only – must be coordinated in advance with the Consular Department by mail or phone.
Israeli Passports – with the exception of minors, will only be done at this time by mail delivery.
In emergency situations only, such as the case of a lost or stolen passport, please contact us by phone in for detailed instructions regarding how to proceed.
Renewal of a passport for minors or first passports for minors – we recommend that you postpone passport requests. In urgent situations, please contact us by phone in order to receive detailed instructions regarding how to proceed.
Military service applicants and persons exempt from military service – all requests will be handled by mail only, and only after receiving detailed instructions by phone or mail.

אזרחים זרים הנוסעים לישראל – החל מה-12.3.2020 תותר כניסתם בכפוף להוכחה והצהרה כי יש בידם לשהות בבידוד ביתי בישראל (מלונות או מעונות סטודנטים לא יחשבו כבידוד ביתי)
את טופס ההצהרה יש למסור בנציגות ישראל הקרובה.
הקונסוליה תגיש את הבקשה לכניסת הזר ותקבל תשובה ממשרד החוץ לאחר 5 ימים, לכן יש להגיש הבקשה מוקדם ככל האפשר.
אשרות תייר יונפקו אך ורק במקרים מיוחדים וחריגים
לאחר ההגעה לישראל - אם מופיעים תסמיני המחלה יש להתקשר למד"א בטלפון 101 להמשך בירור רפואי.
