The Department of Political Affairs is the liaison between the Consulate General of Israel to New England and all local, state and federal government offices, as well as political interest groups in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut.
Since Israel is a close ally of the United States, the strenghtening and maintenance of positive working relationships with state and federal legislators is a key component of the Consulate's diplomatic mission.
