The Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Dr. Jelena Begović and her colleagues met today in the Government of the Republic of Serbia with the Ambassador of Israel to Serbia Yahel Vilan and Aleksandar Ben Ari, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Israel in Serbia.At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Vilan welcomed the establishment of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation and pointed out that he believes that the establishment of such a ministry was the right decision, stating that a ministry with the same name currently operates in Israel. He also announced that this meeting is only the beginning of the successful cooperation that is planned in the field of innovation, technological development, cyber security and science, which the Embassy of Israel plans to achieve with the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation within the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Minister Dr. Begović referred to the cooperation achieved so far between the Republic of Serbia and Israel and welcomed the many good practices that she noticed during her visits to Israel in the field of innovation, technological development and science.
Ambassador Vilan presented Minister Dr. Begović with an invitation to the BioMed Israel conference, which will be held in Tel Aviv in May, and presented her with a book entitled "Let there be water".
The minister informed the ambassador about the current activities and current projects of the Ministry, and on this occasion she also pointed out that she is looking forward to new cooperation projects that will be launched between Israel and the Republic of Serbia in the future.
The future of countries like Serbia and Israel is education, innovation and science.
