COVID-19 UPDATES

    When traveling to Israel, all foreigners need to present health insurance covering COVID 19 valid throughout the whole visit.​

    07.10.2022.

    As of Sunday, October 9th, at midnight (on the nigh between Sunday and Monday, October 10th), the requirement to fill an online entry statement before arriving to Israel will be canceled. 


    17.05.2022.

    As of Friday, May 20, at midnight (on the night between Friday and Saturday, May 21), the following guidance will take effect:

    • It will not be required to present a negative result on a COVID test before boarding a flight to Israel or a cruise to Israel or before arriving at an Israeli land border crossing.
    • It will not be required to present a negative result on a COVID test before boarding a cruise departing Israel. This guidance is set forth according to the requirements of the Israel Ministry of Health. You are required to inquire the requirements of the company operating the cruise.
    • The PCR testing mandate for those entering Israel at airports and maritime and land border crossings will be lifted.
    • It will not required to isolate for 24 hours after entering Israel.
    • The mask mandate for those entering Israel (who have been required to isolate until receipt of a PCR test result) in airports and maritime and land border crossings will be lifted.

    Note:

    • The mask mandate during international flights – will remain in effect.
    • The requirement to fill an entry statement before arriving in Israel via air or sea – will remain in effect.

    Update: from 1.3.2022 

    Subject to approval by the Knesset and the government – foreign nationals may enter Israel even if they have not been vaccinated for or recovered from COVID.
    Foreign travelers who stayed outside Israel for more than 72 hours will be required to present one of the following documents:

    Negative result on a PCR test taken in the 72 hours before boarding the flight to Israel.
    Positive result on a rapid (antigen) test at an authorized testing site, or a PCR test, taken less than three months prior, provided the traveler enters Israel at least on day 8 after the test (the test date is considered day 1).
    Exempt from testing approved by the Exceptions Committee.
    All passengers will take another PCR test at the airport in Israel and go into isolation until receipt of a negative result on the PCR or for 24 hours, whichever is earlier.
    This guidance applies to all foreign nationals entering Israel including those who have not been vaccinated or recovered from COVID.
    Those who are not considered vaccinated or recovered according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health, and do not receive a Green Pass after filling a statement of entry to Israel – will be required to go into isolation in the event of exposure to a confirmed COVID case during their stay in Israel, according to the guidance.
