Bangalore start-up goes for Start Tel Aviv event

    ​In an interaction with the press Pavan Thatha, the CEO of ShieldSquare, spoke about his company being the winner of the Start Tel Aviv competition in Delhi. Mr. Thatha spoke about his company ShieldSquare which graduated out of Microsoft Ventures Accelerator, Bangalore in 2013 and had also been recognized in “InTech50” platform. His Excellency Mr. Menahem Kanafi, Consul General of Israel in Bangalore and Deputy Chief of Mission Mr. Ziv Shalvi were also present. Mr. Thatha was given his Israeli visa at the press conference. The Israeli visa office is now open in Bangalore. Start Tel Aviv is part of a bigger conference happening in Israel, The DLD Tel Aviv Digital Conference. The DLD conference, 13th-20th of September, is Israel's largest international Hi-tech gathering, featuring hundreds of startups, VC’s, angel investors and leading multinationals and boasting top technological talent. The highest venture capital investments per capita and multi-national centers for industry leaders such as Google, Microsoft, Kimberly Clark, Amazon, GM, Amdocs, Facebook will be attending the conference. Tel Aviv is the best location to get up close and personal with the entire Hi-tech hub.

    "In the finals of the Start Tel Aviv competition in Delhi two companies were from Bangalore. There are so many startups in Bangalore; hopefully we will have a Bangalore Start-up Event in Bangalore next year." Talking about the scenario in Israel Mr. Kanafi said, "There are over 5000 startups in Israel and the population is eight million only. Although, the government helps in financing of new startups, so angel investors think when the government has invested then they can too."
