The Israeli Government promotes social responsibility in Israel and abroad. As part of our social responsibility, we, along with Rotary Cantonment Bangalore and First Ladies Forum, have been working on a school project—the BBMP Composite School and College, Halasuru was renovated this May with working sanitary facilities and state of the art audio visual system in the auditorium.

Quote from Consul General Menahem Kanafi
“As two knowledge-based economies, India and Israel have a natural complementarity in the field of education cooperation, especially with the emphasis that the two societies place on education. The Consulate here not only works with Bengaluru on an official level but also on a basic level where the future of this country benefits. Providing basic amenities and an audio-visual system in the auditorium will encourage e-learning.”
Quote from school Principal Harish Kumar
“This institution is fifty years old and there are a number of underprivileged students who attend the school. An initiative like this exposes the students and also boosts the girls in academics. Apart from this, providing the girls with hygienic toilets is of utmost importance. The highest number of girl dropping out of schools in rural Karnataka is because of lack of toilets in the schools. Even in the city, the ratio of number of toilets to students is also very less. I am very thankful to the Israeli Consulate to help us achieve these goals.”
